    Hi,
    I think your tutorials are amazing. I have used them to build my own Flash site (something I never thought I could do before). Thanks for everything.

    Hi there,

    your tutorials are really up to date. It’s hard to find really good AND up to date AND for free! So it’s an amazing job you are doing. And you have also the perfect voice. I know much flash tutors, who have nasty voices or speak in a nasty way, but you are great. It’s a pleasure to hear you talking.

    Keep up the great work, I really really appreciate it.

    I agree with Andreas (two comments above), I was just learning from your 3D Panels tutorial thinking that you were one of the few instructors I can actually listen to speak haha. Evil images..haha. Great to see such new material being put up here for us. Thanks for the learning and I hope to see you at FlashPitt ‘09 this year, last year was awesome.

    Hey Lee,

    Always been a fan of GotoAndLearn();

    Keep up the great work!

    Other than schmooze factor, your videos are way better than any flash/adobe conference. I can honestly say I am more likely to try and convince my clients and bosses to purchase adobe products because of you and your videos.

    Your videos help make that travel along the learning curve for Adobe products a great deal easier.

    I’m working about 10 years with flash based technologies, since Flash5 (Macromedia :D ), I’ve seen alot tuts, “gurus”, “specialists” and “evangelists” around the web, but you are the best man *thumbs up*.
    You have a style, a way you can interest a new user who doesn’t know about Flash, and on a same side you cad be interesting for a people who are doing that from years and years. I admire you. You are the best.

    Lee,

    Thanks for sharing some of your knowledge tonight in Rio, Brazil.

    Hi Lee,

    I’m having a problem getting a flex app created using Flash CS3 to work with my installation of CS4 and flex. I keep getting compile-time errors around the tween class.

    Any thoughts?

    Wil

  34. October 24th, 2009 | 1:02 pm

    Lee,
    I am having some problems with the 3D carousel. I believe it is not working because I do not have the cover and the imCon displayed correctly. I keep getting a message from the Flash builder that says this.

    Description Resource Path Location Type
    1046: Type was not found or was not a compile-time constant: imCon. Carousel.as Carousel line 41 Flex Problem

    1120: Access of undefined property cover. Carousel.as Carousel line 72 Flex Problem

    1180: Call to a possibly undefined method imCon. Carousel.as Carousel line 41 Flex Problem

    I also do not know where to get the code for the imports:
    import com.gskinner.motion.GTween;
    //import com.leebrimelow.utils.Math2;
    //import fl.motion.easing.Exponential;

    Then once you get them where do you put them.
    Yea, I am not a programmer but I play along and have learned a great deal form you tutorials. thanks for the help. I am really looking forward to getting this up and running.

    It is so satisfying to get something working right when you have been working on it for about a year.

    Thanks, Mark

    Hi Lee

    I’m a flash enthusiast from that small country in Europe called Switzerland and I was wondering if you would spread a tiny word about my blog in your blog before the content gets completely outdated? It’s hard to reach more readers and I’m sure there will be one or two out there interested in my stuff, especially in the open source flash website framework: http://blog.flashcmsframework.com

    I would highly appreciate it and I promise to pin a picture of you above my monitor… ;-)

    Best regards,
    Christian

    I took your course on Lynda. I enjoyed it. Can you tell me how to set the audio to Mute for the FLVplayer component? Or is there a forum that you provide that information?

    Thanks!

    I have not attended formal flash classes but owing to gotoAndLearn(), i have adequeate actionsctipt skills to brave an interview. I thank you very much and recommend that your name be in the Flash credits. Hopefully, they will cortesy of the widgets panel. Its not there in the CS4 version and it should. Jon and Bob are the godfathers. Lee is the high priest!

    Hi Lee,

    Just wanted to thank you for fighting the good fight with regards to Flash and Apple. I started with HTML but now know the ways of the Flash. And I believe non-Flash devs are just jealous and frustrated that they’ve been forced to work with a technology they don’t understand due to it’s obvious high demand from the general public.

    I’m sincerely confused as to why CS5 is moving ahead with the iPhone app feature. Lines have been drawn and it’s my opinion that Adobe shouldn’t support Apple in any way.

    Keep up the great work! It’s a shame that there are so many Flash haters out there. It obviously revolutionized the web but like politics, sometimes people are just too invested in their side of the coin.
