Flash on the Beach Ronin Sequence

Robert Chiu, aka the Ronin, has created an awesome motion graphics sequence for Flash on the Beach. I love this kind of stuff and I think it is an amazing piece of work. This is as close as I’ll ever come to feeling like I’m in a movie. Check out the video below. You can also view it on YouTube if you prefer.

That was great! Any idea of what software was utilized? (for compositing, editing, the 3D elements etc.)

wow, are those letters real or after effects?

FOTB was awesome this year, so inspiring that I decided to start my own blog to review the 3 days.. http://flashming.wordpress.com/

  22. October 2nd, 2008 | 10:45 am

I would assume After Effects. Perhaps a 3D program like Max or Maya was used for the letters, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it were all done in AE.

Hey Lee, I caught Rob’s talk at FOTB and became an instant fan so thanks for posting that.

I caught your talk too and left completely inspired…along with a strange urge to travel to Birmingham in November! lol.

I wanted to come up and shake your hand at the end, but couldn’t get near you for well-wishers, so consider this a virtual handshake. Cheers for making my flash life easier and inspiring me to learn more.
