Adobe will announce CS4 on September 23rd!
That’s right we will be officially announcing the 4th version of the Creative Suite on September 23rd. Now before you get the wrong idea, this is NOT the release date but rather our official unveiling of it. You can register to view a special web broadcast that will take place on the 23rd. I highly recommend you check it out if you want to learn more. Get plenty of sleep now as you will have more new toys than you’ll know what to do with very soon.
Lee

Lee, I am a UG manager…. I thought the content of the 23 was NDA at this point. I guess being that you are at adobe you would know better than me. Anyway, thanks for the post.

Lee,
This is AWESOME NEWS!!! I can hardly wait – I need to shift my meetings around for the 23rd but this is going to be great!!! So does this mean there will be an approximate release date coming shortly, or do you think there is going to have a public beta first (for registered users)?
Keep up the awesome work!
Best regards,
J. Almeida

Any chance you guys will make a Linux version as well?
Thx for the news. Will Flash CS4 then also been released? Isn’t that too fast? Flash 10 with AS4, i hope so
As a new Mac user purchasing CS3 shortly, I’m more interested in CS5’s hopefully complete 64-bit support on my platform. I may skip CS4, depending on exactly when it comes out, but of course I’ll keep an eye on it.

ARRRGH! May 64-bit apps? Maybe lower prices? Maybe I’ll give Adobe my money again.
Sweet!
I’m not a UG manager, but I thought that I’d pretend that if I was one, I’d have a special insight that entitles me to to tell you about watching your NDA on issues like this when what I’d really be doing is griping about getting out-scooped on sounding like an Adobe insider on my own blog. If I had one. Sorry, but that was classic. Awesome news!

Doesn’t sound good. Upgrading again? I haven’t even learned 3 yet!
Actually, I wish Adobe would slow down with the releases. Give the small-timers some time to get a return on their investment and give the big-timers some time to actually upgrade to the current version and learn it. Instead of focusing on feature changes, focus on performance improvements. Of course, that might not rest well with short-term investors, but in the long haul, most of us want to see MUCH MUCH better performance from the tools and especially the Flash platform.
is this the upgrade that actually works?
what about the troublesome installer?
is it still there in cs4?
“remove the installer” that will be a big improvement for all adobe product.
im affraid its not so good as expected…
Thanks for all you do in helping me fulfill my dreams.,
