Video Tutorial on Compiling for Flash Player 10

I just finished uploading a video tutorial that shows you how to author content for the Flash Player 10 beta that was released earlier today. There is currently no tooling available so you will have to use a nightly build of MXMLC, which is the Flex AS compiler. I show you everything you need to know to get started. In the tutorial I also show off one of the coolest new developer features which is the ability to create typed arrays using the new Vector class. Look for more tutorials very soon!

Enjoy the tutorial!

    Nice tutorial :D

How do I enable ligatures? Also, looking at the source for the new text engine, it uses textField.xmlText, is that a new feature? When i tested it I got an error.

So there’s no way of using both fp 10 in the browser and the debug (fp9) version in a standalone mode on a mac??

I’m using flex so each time I need to uninstall/install to switch between them?

can i install fp10 only on safari and then use fp9 debug on firefox?
