After Effects 7 and Flash 8 Integration is live!

My new Lynda.com title is now live and is called After Effects 7 and Flash 8 Integration. I go over a bunch of different ways to integrate these two excellent applications together. First I show to create cool stuff in AE for use in Flash. Then I go in the other direction and show how to incorporate Flash animations in AE. The CD-ROM version will be available in a couple of weeks.

Check it out!

Kingsley, there is a new energy drink called “Cocaine” which is 3 times stronger than Rockstar. It is only available in NY and LA right now. But once it comes to SF I’m all over it :-)

    Cool tutorials!

There is a much easier way to create the wave, that you are creating in AE.

Just create your wave in flash, and let it tween one wavelenght across the screen.

    That’s it…

Absolutely you can but the point was to show the technique of how to create vectors from masks. Hopefully people will find more creative uses for it. You can also apply more comples effects to the waves in AE than the simple one I did.

Hi Lee forgive my posting here but I couldn’t find your email address and also please forgive the intrusion. Your AE and flash tute on lynda was exactly what I needed – I was a broadcast designer (After Effects) and am attempting to move into web design – I’m trawling all the resources I can find and Lynda has to be the best but meantimes I’m messing with different ideas on my own site – here’s something I attempted: http://www.rogerburton.co.uk/test/rings.html created in AE with Zaxwerks and exported to flash and into dreamweaver but the transparency doesn’t work in Internet explorer – any ideas please ? Also with your explosion tutorial you exported as pngs and with the ocean as an flv – am I being stupid but I couldn’t quite understand the difference. Sorry again for pestering you. Regards Roger
